Join the Collective
The Brentwood Therapy Collective is a boutique psychodynamic practice in Los Angeles, serving individuals and couples in-person and via teletherapy.
We're growing — and looking for licensed clinicians and associates who want to do thoughtful, depth-oriented work alongside a small, collaborative team.
Why Join the Collective
There are plenty of group practices in Los Angeles. Here's what makes ours unique.
We are a small team of clinicians who have grown organically when the right applicant comes along. We only add to the practice when the fit feels right, which keeps the group balanced. You will have your own clients and the benefit of a built in consultation group that sharpens your work.
Mentorship that's built in. Weekly consultation with Dr. Sarai, founder and licensed psychologist, is at the heart of how we work — not a perk, a foundation of the practice.
The autonomy of private practice, without the admin. Referrals, marketing, admin, SEO is handled. You choose your clients, set your hours, and focus on the clinical work.
A beautiful place to land. A light-filled, thoughtfully designed office in the heart of Brentwood — walkable to coffee, shops, and lunch between sessions.
The depth work you trained for. Most of our clients are adults navigating relationships, careers, parenthood, and life transitions — and they come to therapy looking for understanding, not quick fixes.
Room to grow. Speaking, writing, networking, supervising — we actively support our team in building the long-term clinical identities they want.
Mentorship & Clinical Development
Mentorship is core to how we work — and structured around where you are in your career.
Associates working toward licensure: weekly individual supervision with Dr. Sarai, plus weekly group consultation with Dr. Sarai and the full team. Because Dr. Sarai is a licensed clinical psychologist, supervision counts toward both BBS hours (for masters-level associates) and psychologist licensure hours (for psychology associates and postdocs) — a dual structure that's hard to find outside of an institute.
Licensed clinicians: weekly group consultation with Dr. Sarai and the full team, with the option to meet individually as needed — the kind of peer-level clinical dialogue most therapists lose access to after training.
The focus is genuinely clinical: case conceptualization, transference and countertransference, treatment planning. We also actively support broader professional growth — writing, speaking, and niche development.
The Role
This is a part-time, W-2 position with a hybrid in-person and teletherapy schedule. Clinicians typically build to a steady caseload of 15–20 clients per week over the first 3–4 months as referrals come in. You'll have full autonomy over which clients you take and when you see them.
We hire with a long-term horizon — this isn't a stepping-stone role. It's a place to put down roots, deepen your clinical voice, and build a sustainable practice.

We're a small, collaborative team and we care deeply about finding the right fit, so we read every application closely. The strongest ones come from clinicians who write in their own voice about why our practice , our population, our psychodynamic approach, and the kind of work we do here — resonates with them.
We run application materials through AI-detection software and ask that you write yours yourself; we want to get to know you.
We can't wait to read it.
